
Lauren Barrett is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Argosy University in Dallas, Texas, and completed her doctorate in counselor education and supervision. She has been in practice since 2010 and specializes in counseling victims of trauma, domestic violence, and all types of abuse. She has worked with clients of all ages in individual, couples, family, and group counseling.
Lauren operates from a Christian perspective using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with a holistic approach to wellness using variety of counseling techniques. She has worked with clients dealing with minor life stressors and those who are dealing with major mental health diagnoses, including but not limited to, Bipolar Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Major Depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, Schizophrenia, Anxiety Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.
