Students will create a complete book, with a new page added each week, that will be taken home at the end of the session.

Class Description: Life in the 1800s was very different than what we experience in the 21st century. Most Americans lived on the east coast of the country. The first Americans to travel west were called pioneers. JA students will learn about these brave, adventurous people while we assemble a lapbook. Projects will include a timeline, famous pioneers, and recipes, along with hands-on activities to help your student learn what life was like as an American pioneer.
